I check EstateSales.net every week, so when I saw one that started the day before my road trip to Atlanta, I knew my mom and I had to stop. Just a little out of the way in Gadsen, Alabama, the sale at a socialite’s home was full of chic wallpapered walls, fine antiques, and tons of character.
The colonial inspired home sat so pretty up on a hill. You could see the circular dramatic stairs from the sidewalk outside. So pretty!
Off the center hall to right was a formal living room with chic yellow wall-paper. The dramatic bookshelves were backed in the same paper. Across the hall in the dining-room, there was more wall-paper and a gorgeous bust that I so wanted to take home with me.
There was a back room that could be used as a bedroom that had the BEST bathroom I ever laid eyes on. It was covered in mirrors, marble, crystals, and had the most awesome swan faucet.
The back yard was shaded and gorgeous. Right off of it was a dramatic greenhouse that you could tell had seen better days but still had tons of charm with its chandelier and built in brick planters.
So glad we made the detour to shop this estate sale, I’ll post my finds soon!
